Howdy all,
First of all, happy new year.
As we already know, the new year began with both leaders Manchester United and champions Chelsea dropping two points each. Man Utd at Newcastle and Chelsea at Aston Villa. Jose Mourihno wants us to believe that the results are okay for Chelsea and bad for Man Utd. But that's by the way.
Today, I want to talk about the race for the premiership top scorer. Lots of strikers have been firing on all cylinders and it seems more is still to come. Saha, Ronaldo, Drogba, Henry (best is yet to come) and lots.
The top man at this moment is Didier Drogba. And just today I walked into Coral to place a bet on him to remain the top marksman at the end of the season with £50 at 8/5.
Although I'm not one of his biggest fans, there is no doubt that he's been in sensational form this season, scoring some unbelievable goals along the way. Currently on 13 goals at the moment, he seems unstoppable. Christiano Ronaldo is close on his heels with 12 but as a winger, there is a likelihood that he might not be able to sustain the scoring streak.
Thierry Henry is fit again and he's on 7 goals. Although you can't rule him out totally, I think he's far behind to catch up on the "Drog War"
Who's with me on this?
See you later

I don't think you can rule out Ronaldo at 7/1 e/w, or Van Persie at 16/1 ew. Doyle at Reading might be a good outside bet too at 40/1 EW. He's out with a hamstring injury though, but should be back within 4 weeks

I know it's not a one horse race Tony. But I just have the inkling Drogba is going to nick it at the end of the day.
And I know Sir Alex. He'll reat Ronaldo more than Mourhino will rest Drogba.
